Editorial Policy
Last reviewed: September 16, 2026
ParentingAssist publishes practical, research-informed guidance for parents and caregivers across early childhood, child health, special needs, educational play, eco parenting, and the teenage years. Our goal is to make useful information easier to understand and apply without overstating what any article can prove or replace.
Editorial Responsibility
ParentingAssist is founded and editorially overseen by Younes Kehal, an Educational Director, Certified School Coach, and Certified Life Coach with more than 20 years of experience in education, student development, and family support.
Articles are selected, written, edited, or reviewed with a focus on usefulness, clarity, accuracy, and respect for the realities families face. Publication decisions are made independently and are not based on advertiser pressure.
How We Develop Content
We aim to distinguish practical guidance from established evidence, professional opinion, and personal interpretation. When a topic depends on scientific, medical, psychological, developmental, or educational evidence, we seek reliable and relevant sources and avoid presenting uncertain findings as settled facts.
We also review articles for clarity, internal consistency, misleading claims, unnecessary alarm, and advice that could be unsafe or inappropriate outside the context in which it was originally studied or recommended.
Health, Development, and Special Needs Content
Content related to health, development, behavior, mental wellbeing, or special needs is educational and informational. It is not a diagnosis and is not a substitute for individualized care from a pediatrician, physician, psychologist, therapist, or other appropriately qualified professional.
We avoid promising specific outcomes, encouraging readers to ignore professional care, or presenting general parenting guidance as individualized medical treatment. When a situation may require professional assessment, we aim to say so clearly.
Sources and Evidence
Where appropriate, we prefer primary research, recognized professional organizations, public health authorities, universities, and other established sources over anonymous or purely promotional material. We may also use high-quality secondary sources when they accurately explain or contextualize the underlying evidence.
Sources can evolve, and recommendations can change as new evidence becomes available. For that reason, older content may be updated, revised, or removed when necessary.
Product Reviews, Affiliate Links, and Sponsored Content
Some pages may include affiliate links or commercial partnerships. When relevant, we disclose that relationship to readers. Affiliate arrangements do not determine our editorial conclusions, and receiving compensation does not guarantee a positive recommendation.
Sponsored content, if published, should be clearly identified. We do not intend to disguise advertising as independent editorial guidance.
Use of AI and Digital Tools
ParentingAssist may use digital or AI-assisted tools to support research organization, drafting, editing, formatting, or quality checks. These tools do not replace editorial responsibility. Content is reviewed before publication for relevance, accuracy, tone, and alignment with our editorial standards.
Corrections and Updates
If we discover a meaningful factual error, misleading statement, broken reference, or outdated recommendation, we aim to correct it promptly. Significant updates may result in changes to wording, sourcing, recommendations, or publication details.
Readers are welcome to report possible errors or suggest improvements.
Independence and Conflicts of Interest
We aim to keep editorial judgment separate from commercial relationships. Where a material relationship could reasonably affect how a reader interprets a recommendation, we seek to disclose it clearly.
